Our newest generation is demonstrating for us the impact of having developed under the digital wave. This new generation has been completely taken and normalized by digital technologies and it is a fully integrated aspect of their lives. Some of the factors that contributed to the integration of technology are the teachers’ knowledge and skills, subject culture, assessment, and finally, institution support. The last factor is one of the most important and typically comes in four major ways: having a vision and plan of where the school wishes to go with technology providing necessary resources for teachers, providing ongoing professional development for teachers and also providing encouragement for teachers to use technology.
The recent evidence of persistent high demand for teacher professional development in the area of technology-enhanced teaching and learning raises the question which factors determine a long term effect of programs and initiatives for improving teachers’ technical and methodological tools for integrating technology in the classroom. Integration of technology in the classroom is also strongly influenced by the external support for teachers, their access to up-to-date resources and participation in a community of teachers working with technology. Effective teacher professional development is only one of several necessary conditions underlying innovative teaching practices using technology. Funding, teachers who drive innovation, support within and outside school, as well as supportive plans and policies are all conditions, which contribute to the sustainability of technology-based educational change. Environmental stability is also a key internal factor in the institutionalization of any innovation or change that will contribute to the use of technology in the classroom.
TPACK brings an important integration of content, context and technology. Is not the use of technology with no means is the use of technology as a part of the integral part of the class content. The challenge as a teacher is in being able to balance and due a truly integration of technology in my class content. To be able to use TPACK as a tool not as a "toy" in my daily teaching. Another challenge is that I need more knowledge of curriculum and curricular materials that integrate technology with learning and teaching subject matter topics. As we teachers said we need
